BGT Bars & Melody Release Debut Video

Britain’s Got Talent musical duo, Bars & Melody have released their debut music video.

Bars & Melody today released the video for their first single, ‘Hopeful’; a song about bullying and the difficulties of growing up.

Leondre Devries, 13, and Charlie Lenehan, 15 first performed ‘Hope’ during their Britain’s Got Talent audition earlier this year.

‘Hope’ was written by Devries about his own experiences with bullying in school.

The song was highly praised by the Britain’s Got Talent judges and the duo were hot favourites to win the competition, however they narrowly missed out to Collabro and opera singer Lucy Kay.

Bars & Melody were signed to Simon Cowell’s record label, Syco shortly after the show had finished.

The new video, with the song title now renamed as ‘Hopeful’ shows the singers in a school, with Devries lyrics being played out over the class room tannoy. ‘Hopeful’ goes on to show school children and teachers abandon the classroom to watch the duo perform their song in the school’s gym.

‘Hopeful’ will be released on July 27th.
