Tomorrow, Sept 8th, will see a French Invasion on our shores, but this one is perfectly safe as it’s of the musical kind! Oui Love is a brand new myspace portal, which aims get us Brits in touch with all that’s hot, happening, and new, on the French Music Scene.

www.myspace.com/ouilovexchange will be packed to the brim with up and coming French artists, and also has a few other treats in store. There will be an interactive poll where visitors can vote for their all time favourite French artist, and this in turn gives you access to a free download of the Oui Love Compilation album.

The Oui Love Compilation will feature some of the best new wave artists from across the channel. Acts that have provided tracks for this release include The Shoes, a dance duo who have attracted the interest of XFM, lo-fi disco hero’s Flairs and Naïve New Beaters, also Phoenix an alt-rock band.

And there’s more! The Oui Love brand will be taking to the road in October 2009, bringing four French bands over here for live dates, and giving an English band the chance to join another Oui Love tour planned for March 2010. Not only that, but the Oui Love project is just chapter one, in a long term project to cross promote French and British music acts. So keep your eyes and ears open for further details from MusiqueXchange, the company behind Oui Love.

FORTUNE: An electro pop act who will release an E.P called ‘Highway’ in October. You may already be familiar with their music, as a song called ‘Bully’ has been featured on an ad for Comet. (www.myspace.com/ilovefortune)

SECOND SEX: These guys are the Myspace Phenomenon in the line-up, clocking up a massive million and a quarter hits on their page. Expect some high powered Rock and Roll influenced by The Hives. (www.myspace.com/secondsex)

NELSON: This is a young act from Paris, whose music is described as a mix of ‘Factory Records’ and early Animal Collective work, with a few other sounds in between no doubt. The Oui Love team have been very impressed with their demos and hopefully you will be too! (www.myspace.com/nelsonrock)

KID BOMBARDOS: This band hail from Bordeaux, a place not only known for it’s wine, but also it’s rock bands. They bring a youthful energy to the tour, and will be performing their own brand of rock, that pays tribute to acts like The Strokes.
