The Breathing Life Awards 2009

May 28th will see the 14th Breathing Life Awards take place at the Metropole Hotel in London. Every year this special event seeks to recognise people with Cystic Fibrosis, a common and inherited life threatening illness in the U.K.

Celebrities from the world of sport, stage, and screen, including TV personalities Jake Humphrey and Zoe Salmon, will be presenting awards to inspiring and achieving people, who live daily with C.F. They will also be treated to entertainment from up and coming singer Emma Deigman.

Soul singer Emma, who comes from Buckinghamshire, has had a start to her career some can only dream of. At the age of seven, she performed in the West-End show Les Miserables, which was swiftly followed by an appearance on Top Of The Pop’s at the age of ten. Since then, she has been lucky enough to work with producers who count Take That, Lily Allen, and The Spice Girls among their clients. Emma will be appearing at the Breathing Life Awards fresh from supporting Girls Aloud on tour.

More information on Emma and her debut album release can be found at www.emmadeigman.com.

The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is the U.K’s only charity that deals with all aspects of Cystic Fibrosis, from treatments, to researching possible cures, to offering support to people coping with the illness. To find out more about Cystic Fibrosis, or the charities work, visit the website at www.cftrust.org.uk. There’s also a helpline offering support to those affected by the illness in any way. The number is 0845 859 1000.

I would like to take this opportunity to offer my best wishes and congratulations to everyone involved in The Breathing Life Awards, and all the award winners, who I’m sure will be an inspiration to us all.
