Dolly Parton Denies Glastonbury Miming

Dolly Parton has hit back at Twitter critics who claimed she was miming during her highly anticipated set at Glastonbury.

Thousands gathered to see the singer perform yesterday at Worthy Farm, during a slot that has become known as the ‘Legends Hour’.

While the crowd enjoyed the performance, many took to Twitter to question whether or not the singer was using pre recorded vocals.

Sky News reporter Kay Burley was one of many that tweeted about the alleged miming: “Oh Dolly is miming. How disappointing’.

However a spokesperson for Dolly Parton has denied that the country star mimed during her performance.

Dolly Parton was one of the biggest names on this year’s festival line-up, joining stars such as Metallica, Ellie Goulding and Kasabian.

The Country singer performed a 70-minute set on the Pyramid Stage yesterday afternoon.

Dolly Parton described performing at the festival as ‘An honour and a thrill’, adding: ‘I’ve been waiting a lifetime for this’.

Dressed all in white, the singer played the guitar, banjo, saxophone and the fiddle during her set.
