Lady Gaga has released the full track list for her upcoming album, ARTPOP.
The singer has unveiled the 15 tracks that will make up her fourth studio album.
The tracks were released through a number of fan posts on Twitter, which were quickly retweeted by Lady Gaga. The singer tweeted prior to their announcement, that she had chosen some of her most dedicated fans in Los Angeles to unveil the news.
Earlier in the evening Lady Gaga also tweeted to say: “Tracklist is late because 2 songs are cockfighting for the #12 spot. I’ll let u know which cock wins at 9pm tonight 🙂 get out the champagne”.
So far two tracks have been made available for fans to hear; first single off the album ‘Applause’ and ‘Aura’, the sound track for film ‘Machete Kills’, which is released tomorrow.
‘Applause’ was met from mixed response from fans and critics, and has acquired a number of amusing parodies on You Tube.
The track ‘Aura’ sounds it like would have fitted in perfectly on the ‘Born This Way’ album. The chorus itself is easily the strongest part of the song, with the lyrics ‘Do you want to see the girl who lives behind the Aura’ echoing long after the song has finished. The verses however don’t sound as great as the chorus, and following on from ‘Applause’ perhaps indicate what direction we can expect from the album.
However at the recent iTunes festival, Gaga previewed ‘Swine’, ‘Sexxx Dreams’ and ‘MANICURE’ by releasing videos of her rehearsing for her performance at the festival.
A quick message was also tweeted by the singer hours before the release, saying: “No matter what I create only 3 artifacts will remain in the vault when I’m gone 1. the music 2. The album cover 3. any contributions of good.”
The album is due for released on the 11th of November.
