Music.co.uk Acts Hit The Charts!

It was Monday morning, and quite frankly, my brain was not in gear at all, so whilst stumbling through the world wide web, trying to focus my attention on music, I decided to have a nose at the Official U.K Charts, and was quite proud to see some of the acts featured on music.co.uk listed there.

Our site owner Rob, will no doubt be delighted to see Shakira riding high at number four with ‘She Wolf’, whilst my review subject The Temper Trap have gained the number 12 spot with ‘Sweet Disposition’. This week also sees indie rockers Paramore at 27 with ‘Ignorance’, the beautiful sounds of Paloma Faith at 31 with ‘New York’, and Newton Faulkner starting off slowly at number 71 with ‘If This Is It’.

Other personal favourites in this weeks chart, include the awesome Muse, at number 18 with Uprising, the unstoppable JLS, at number 33  with their smooth R&B anthem ‘Beat Again’,  and the lovely Jason Mraz who is at number 48 with ‘I’m Yours’. Naturally the X Factor has also had an effect on this weeks chart, and I’m sure I’m not the only one who has a new found love for the classic Kings of Leon track ‘Sex On Fire’, which is currently at number 16.

Well done to one and all on your chart positions, and let’s hope the rest of 2009 will see many more acts we’ve featured either gain some chart positions, or generally make an impact on the music scene.
