Petter And The Pix: Never Never (Single)

As the saying goes, you learn something new every day, and today I’ve learnt that psychedelic guitars from Sweden really don’t do it for me! This six piece band describe their new single as having a ‘relentless’ keyboard riff. Relentless is right, and I’d also add repetitive to the mix. It’s frantic, psychedelic, and in a way does have an impact, it just failed to hold my attention all the way through! The quiet and emotive vocals from Petter are fitting, and well produced, though a little lost in and amongst the music. I’m also not quite sure what to make of the Native American artwork on the cover. Sorry guys but I think you are a slow burner for me, and I’m not quite getting what you’re about yet, but I am sure your genre-crossing sound will resonate with a good few indie/rock fans over here in the UK.

Petter and The Pix release ‘Never Never’ on 26th April, which is taken from their forthcoming album ‘Good As Gold’. For more information, and to listen to the band, visit www.myspace.com/petterandthepix
